And the goal is ... wear Easton out!!

Well the new year has gotten well under way, and I have already learned that the only way to survive this year with Mr. Easton is to always have something planned to wear him out. This child is into everything, always moving and lets just state the obvious, driving me crazy at times. I mean just a minute ago, Drake asked me what the pile of magazines was doing in the drawer.. well lets just say I have not had time to catch up on my gossip in US weekly or find out my get fit tips in Shape lately..instead I have been chasing Mr. E all around all day!!  ahhh I miss my trash reading! :) I will get to it soon! My favorite time of day right now is shamefully nap time.. it is the only time to feel normal. At all other times of the day, you will find me playing some dumb game, singing an even more dumb song ( and well I can't sing) and talking to him and trying to explain to him that soon we will do something fun if he will just let me put his clothes on him. ahhhhhhh

On a lighter note, I feel in love all over again today with Easton when we were leaving the mall and I had thrown him over my shoulders and he was riding on my back with his arms around my neck.. he was laughing all the way to the car. I mean I could have walked to Africa just to hear his laugh, it is truly amazing to hear how much fun he was having and to hear a "real" laugh!! :) I do love playing with my little guy, it is so much fun to see the things he is learning and figuring out.

Here is a clip from the play area at the mall the other day. PS..Easton has no fear and just started climbing up the toy! I am pretty sure he is going to be the bully at the park. First he thinks he can just go up to anyone and put his hands on their face! Second he does what ever he wants no matter if he is in the way of other kids. To confirm this, a little girl came up to me and asked me to get my son, because he was going up the slide the wrong way. I secretly was annoyed  by the little girl and wanted to trip her as she ran back to play.. I mean really little tattle tell girl....

Today we went to the city and then when we got back I took Easton to the park so Drake could get some work done. This is all part of the wear Easton out plan before he wears us out! :) Here is his new favorite thing to do.

So needless to say after a full weekend of entertaining Easton I will am sitting down with my well deserved glass of wine!

The wine is called Mommy Juice! :)

7 months old.. How did we get here..

My Mr.Man is 7  months old today, it doesn't even seem possible.. it was a year ago today to be exact that we found out we were having a boy. BOY did I not even realize what little guy I was going to have. He is so fun and so sweet and well he is defiantly a boy, always on the go and such a mess!!

As most of you know he has started crawling and he is now all over the place, so my days are a bit more crazy trying to keep up with him. I kid you not, he escapes at least 3 times while changing his diaper, he won't stop ever!! We had to take out his changing table since there was no way to keep him on his nice little changing pad. We are old school now and just change him on the floor!! :)

Here are some of my favorite moments from this month:

He just looks so cute in this car!! It is his friends Colton's car!!

Just passed out after a long day of playing!!

I think I will just get my own toys now mom!!

Yep Mom, I can stand in the bed now.. please lower it! :)

I know you don't want to see naked babies, but this is just one of the many times Easton escaped during diaper change time and he went straight to his favorite table. AHHHHHHHH I could kill him some times!!

Mom, I saw Chloe go through here, I don't get it, why can't I!!

I am hungry for some oatmeal, I will just get it myself mom!

Mom, Did you say we were having Salad tonight! I'll get it!!

This is Easton's go to spot.. he hangs out under the table all day!!

So as always I put Easton's 7th month tie on to take pictures and then put him in his chair.. however this month, was quite different. I forgot he could move, so he just chose to get out of the chair.. so the pictures are not as cute this month, it was a bit difficult!!
Thanks for the nice pose Easton!! haha

I don't think I am interested in taking pictures, I have other things to do mom!

Well it works!! Happy 7 months my man!
My friend Kristin had a little girl named Leila and we went to visit her!! I am pretty sure Easton will be a great big brother one day!!

She might be his girlfriend one day!!

He loved her and kept wanting to touch her!
Ok , so I know it was a long post, but as you can see it was a big month!! We have quite the little mess on our hands and we are loving every minute of it!

What a difference a year can make..

Well if you can believe it guys, I have made it a whole year in California, and let's not ignore the truth there were times that I was not sure that it was possilve to survive a year out here. I think back to this day a year ago and let's just say the year that unfolded before me was not at all what I had pictured on my flight over. It is quite funny how God is so sneaky and has plans for you!

So backing up a year ago, I flew out to good ole San Jose on my one way ticket with my favorite little girl in the world, Chloe!! Wasting no time at all I was headed straight down the 101 to my first 49er game all dressed in my cute little tube top. Now a year later, I would say this day is no longer possible for multiple reasons, one being I no longer travel with Chloe but with this cute little buddy of mine that I didn't even know would be apart of my life a year ago, named Easton! Also, any one from San Jose knows you don't travel the 101 if possible it's a nightmare of a highway, you take 280. Second no one in their right mind wears a tube top to Candlestick park, it is always freezing year around. Lastly, just the thought of a flight and a football game all in one day is exhausting with a baby!! Needless to say a year later, I least know how to dress for games, how to get to games and I know to go early because I have a BABY!!! Who would have thought! :)

Alright Drake family, get excited for this... I have actually grown to like many things about California, here are just a few that top my list.. yep there are more than this list! :)
1) WEATHER, need I say  more to any of you Texans
2) Weekend Vacations, being able to go to Napa, the city, Pebble Beach, Santa Cruz, Half Moon Bay etc.. all just on a weekend is wonderful
3)Mountains, they are so pretty to look at
4) Being driving distance to the Drake families

Things that still just kill me about California:
1) That stupid CRV charge.. ahhhh I really hate it, and to be honest I have chosen to forget about it and continue to buy my water bottles, however every once and a while I see a sign that says "Water bottles $3.99 + CRV", I hate that friendly reminder they post in stores and I get all worked up all over again! :)
2) Not being driving distance from the Salley Family and Texas Friends
3) Everything cost more
4) The school certification process is not only retarded but slow
5) People are not as friendly in Silicon Valley
6) I still miss my old school and working..

ok, I will stop!

I will say that in a year I found myself calling "San Jose" home a few times ( let's not get carried away it won't be a permit home, but a pretty good home for now). We have actually created a pretty good group of friends. We have plans on the weekends again! :) We have a church home that I have enjoyed getting involved in. I have joined  a mom's group aka.. My play group, I still don't feel like a mom, but non the less have meet some great people, some super cute little babies and found lots for Easton to do in the community! Drake is thriving in his job and I am grateful that I have been able to stay at home and explore the new city. I spent the whole year trying to see and do everything that there is to do int he Bay area. I owe my husband a big thank you for letting me play for the whole year and getting to explore things that most people never will get a chance to do. We are also growing to actually really love our "flea" house and we are just one happy little family.

It truly is amazing what all happens in a year! I guess I am not stating the obvious huge change that happened, but we all know that I love and adore our Little boy and he truly makes life much easier, how can you not be happy when you have that sweet little face smiling at you everyday!

A Day of Big First for Easton..

Today was a big day for Mr. E! We packed up and headed to the city for the first time with Easton. And when I say "packed up", I literally felt like I was packing for a trip. Being gone with a baby for a whole day requires quite a lot of gear and back up stuff for the "just in case" moments.

We meet Kathryn and Ryan in the city. It was so good to see them, we miss them. I was glad that they were able to make time for us on their trip. Easton has no idea how many walks he is missing out on with Kat not close to me. This was Easton's first trip to the city!! However, the city is not stroller friendly!

After lunch with them, I headed over to the stadium to go to the 49er game. I was a bit worried about going to the game with Easton, it is just a lot of work to get all the way to the suite from the parking lot. However, we managed, and Easton was AWESOME at his first football game!! He didn't make one peep, just hung out in every ones arms and took it all in. I have a bad feeling I am going to have a huge problem with Mr. E getting a bit spoiled getting to attend so many football games and on top of that getting to be in a suite. I am going to have explain that it is not normal and he is lucky his daddy has a fun job for him!

This was this morning when I was telling him about his big day ahead! He looks excited right?? :)

Gina and Mr. E at the game!!

Apparently, I was the only that was aware we were taking a picture. My boys were on a different page! :)

Yea he is just living the "suite"life!!

Notice, there is a change of clothes! I will just say, it was a good thing we had "packed" this morning, because we needed out "just in case" outfit! :)

Hope everyone had a great Saturday!!

Tahoe...

We spent the past week in Tahoe with the entire Drake family. It was a great trip as always. Easton got to meet the rest of the clan and don't worry I am going to quiz him on the names of all his 20 cousins. :)

The trip was different then the past years, only because when you have a 9 week old you can not just go out on the lake for the whole day and then play volleyball on the beach. Instead you still have to feed your child every 3 hours, Easton apparently did not get the memo that we were taking a "Vacation" and I was off duty! However, I will have to say he was a good boy, and it was nice to relax and play with the family.

Here are some pictures for you...

Easton Chilled in is Swing for a lot of the trip!

Easton's cousin Riley is super cute and is crawing everywhere!! We loved getting to play with her!

Easton needed a bath really bad!! So who needs a bathtub, when you have a sink!

Can you tell who dressed him?? Why does Drake think socks go to your knees?

Stella, Easton and Riley!!

Sofia and Grace loved playing with the babies!

Katie and Shea went with us on the boat.. however as you can see Easton did not get much of a view out on the boat!!

They all played together.. well kinda!:)

No worries yall, Drake still got to play! :)

Where did June go???

Well I have been a bad blogger lately, but time is flying by and little Easton is keeping me busy! We have done a lot lately as well.. so here is what we have been up to.

FATHERS DAY

Drake had his first fathers day and it was a great day. Easton made him a gift too, well with a little help from mommy we were able to get mold of his hand print and his footprint for daddy. It turned out pretty cute. Drakes brother Donald and his family came down to our house for the day and we had a great picnic in the park together. We played baseball and ping pong at the house and just had a great day!

TRIP TO TEXAS

We just arrived home from our big tour of Texas last night. We had a great trip, but we are wiped out. Easton was able to meet pretty much everyone from Round Rock Friends, Grandparents and Aunts, Dallas Friends, College Friends, Teacher Friends and even some of Daddy's friends. We were super busy meeting everyone, but it was fun. Chloe even came too! :)

My mom's friends hosted a sip and see for Easton so everyone in Round Rock could come meet him at one time. It was great seeing long time friends and their parents. Then my Mama Bear and My Aunt Karol came to the house to meet Easton, so that was fun. Then my sister and I made a quick trip to Dallas to see everyone. Here are our pictures!!

This picture makes my heart melt!! I love my little boy!!

Easton is 1 month old...

Yesterday, Easton turned 1 month. I think this might have been the fastest month of my life, but defiantly the best month of my life. I find it odd to say that it is the best of my life when I have actually had less sleep then ever before, more pain than I think I have ever encounter, seen more spit up and poop then I really ever wanted to see, and not to mention I smell like spit up at all times, and to top it off I thing I am mute to the sound of crying now.. but with all that to say, I have never been so in love not only with Easton but with my husband. It has been a crazy and fun month.

All that to say, Easton had his month check up this week and is an all-star! He is weighing in at 8lbs 14oz, and I always forget to listen to the length, I will check on that next time. Easton is a great baby for the most part, he has his moments, but as the doctor tells me, BABIES CRY! :)  Here are some pictures from the week and 1st month!

I mean how cute is that.. Drake is reading Easton a book all while giving him a bath and Easton is looking at him! I love my boys!

Easton is starting to really see things and be able to focus, he stared at his Mobil today!

I am 1 month old! :) Big Boy

I really hate that mommy takes pictures of me all the time!

For those of you who have not seen my legs, they really are long!
