Superbowl XLV

Superbowl XVI was a once in a lifetime opportunity, and a day I will never forget. I am very grateful I got to go to the game, and I loved every minute of it. Drake had been entertaining clients all weekend and went to all the parties, which he said were great! I got to join the group for the game on Sunday and I will just say it was sensory overload for me! I have never been more exhausted in my life after the day! ( I mean I felt like I actually played in the game myself!)

It still amazes me how much goes into one game! I could name and go into detail on everything, but let's be honest, you don't want to read all of that so here is the cliff note version:
Loved:
- Half time show.. I heart the Black Eye Peas
- seeing Celebrities
- getting to sit through a whole game with Drake( I have never sat with him, he is always working)

Did not Love:
- the 2 hour wait to get into the game
- the high heel boots I wore ( what was I thinking?? )

Baby Easton at his first Superbowl.. I think I will let him go with his Daddy from now on, the game are to much for me! ;)
To top off this wonderful experience, Drake ( who gets husband of the year) got me on the charter plane home so I could ride with him, and that might have been an even cooler experience then the game for me! Getting to load the plane on the tarmac, having a menu sitting in my seat where a cute little flight attendant comes and takes my order, the cheese and crackers you get on a plate as you sit down, the candy bar they bring out with endless options  and the police escort to and from the airport are just a few of the things that I was amazed by. I wanted to take pictures, however everyone else thinks this is a normal way to fly, so I didn't want to look like the rookie. Marissa Miller and MC Hammer also joined our group to fly back with us! It was quite an experience for me and I could really get used to flying this way! :)

All in all the weekend was SUPER!

E News ( Dallas Baby Shower)..

Easton got some great gear and some even cuter clothes and accessories this weekend. My sweet friends hosted a beautiful baby shower this weekend for Easton and I. It was so good to get to see everyone and catch up. Easton also has no idea how much they all love him already, for he got some great toys and much needed items! Thank you to everyone who helped and came to the shower this weekend, it was perfect! :)

Easton Loves his Aunt Randi So Much Already!!
Why you ask.. well my sister gave me the best gift this weekend. When Randi and I were little we would always run off and play while my mom was shopping at like Target or something.. Randi was always so easy to find, she was in the same place every time. Where you wonder, non other than the stroller aisle! She loved pushing them all around, so she would be pushing all the tester strollers around! So Randi decided that she needed to be the one that gave Easton his stroller.. which is a big item that I was so happy to receive! Randi didn't get to come to the shower due to the weather, so she had me open the gift before the shower and thank goodness, because I started crying on the phone! It was so sweet of her! :) We say THANK YOU AUNT RANDI!

Dallas...

This past weekend, Drake and I headed to Dallas for a fun filled weekend! The weekend started with Dallas not welcoming me back, I think it must be mad at me for leaving! :) This past week was a week in the history books for Dallas as far as weather is concerned. Layers of Ice and Snow made things a bit difficult, however I didn't let this stop me to much! ;)

Some how I made my flight with out any issues into DFW late Wednesday night. ( As a side note, I wore a tank top to workout out outside on Wednesday here in California, and as I walked off the plane in Dallas, it was very necessary to bundle up in not only your coat, but scarf and gloves.. so crazy)

Dallas did a lot of shutting down over the next few days, but this did not stop me from getting to my hair appointment Thursday morning, I mean the roots I had going on, where quite scary! This was an emergency. After that, I got to have a great dinner with my " Tex Mex" and good friends. ( A thanks to my mom for making the scary drive in from Austin, I don't think she would have come if she really knew how bad the roads where once you got to Dallas.. but I am so glad she made it! )

Friday however, I did not make it out of the house due to another blast of snow.. but it made for good pictures and enough time for an afternoon puzzle that we worked on, and let me tell you how proud I was that we finished this puzzle! ( A few snow days and you will do anything to not go stir crazy)

This is my friend, Steffanie's little boy, Colton! I loved playing with him all day on our snow day! :) How sweet is he!

Just a little snow!

Where is the road?? Good thing we stayed off them Friday!

This was our puzzle.. it was actually really hard! :)

E News...

So I have decided that every time I want to post something about Easton, I am going to title it E News.. which also so happens to be on of my favorite TV show. Nice how that works out... so on today's edition of E News you will be getting a sneak peak of Easton's nursery. The room is not all the way done, since the changing table area is not done, so I tried not to get any pictures of that corner of the room!

I think it is fun to know where people get their things and ideas so here you go:

Crib ( Jcpennys)
Dresser ( It's Not to shabby .. local consignment shop)
Chair ( TJ Maxx)
Basket ( Crate and Barrel)
Shelf ( Hobby Lobby)
Bedding ( My wonderful mommy made)
Mobile ( My talented mommy made)
Diaper Stacker ( My sweet mommy made)
Picture Frame ( A gift from my mom)
Lamp ( Hobby Lobby)
E Letter ( Hobby Lobby)
Glove and Stuffed Animal ( Target)

I still have the changing table to take care of, but I have the idea and know what it is going to look like! All in all, I think my inspiration of a vintage themed room is coming across just as I imagine it. With a little input from Drake, Easton has got a few hints of sports and safari animals in the room as well! Once I get the last part done, I will post a final picture! I just wish the little guy was here now, I feel like it won't truly be complete till he is here!  3 1/2 months to go! :)

This segment of  E News is brought to you by a proud little ( soon to be) mommy! :)

10 BEST cities to live in....

So my good friend Amber sent me this email today and I found this very funny and interesting..

An article on MSN today stated that the following are the 10 best cities to live in:

1. Plano, TX
2. Fargo, ND
3. San Jose, CA
4. Raleigh, NC
5. Austin, TX
6. Minneapolis, MN
7. Boise, ID
8. Santa Ana, CA
9. Virginia Beach, VA
10. San Francisco, CA
I would have to say it is quite an accomplishment to have lived in or near by 4 of the 10 by the age 26. What can I say, I guess I have good taste! : ) Let's just hope I don't add anymore cities to the list for a while!

Happy Thursday  Everyone!

A Productive and Oddly Exciting Weekend..

Well I want everyone to take a minute and brace themselves for what I am about to say. This weekend was so unbelievably beautiful outside that I might have fallen in love with California for a split second! Yes, that is right, I was one happy little camper when the warm sun was shinning down on me and I was able to be out and about with out a coat. Meanwhile all my Texas friends and family were freezing! I just want to say haha! :)

No but seriously it was so pretty outside, that it was truly a crime if you stayed in doors. So I decided to clean up the yard and get it looking nice and ready for spring. The Gardner's pruned all the roses, for I really have no idea how to do that. I then planted Pansy's in the walkway. This took me all of Saturday afternoon, this gardening stuff is hard work!  However, I am very excited now that the yard looks great and even more excited to see the flowers really grow and bloom over the next couple of months. Pretty flowers are not something I normally get to see a lot of in Texas.

Along with our pretty flowers, we also did some shopping for our guest bedroom. We currently only had one guest bed, however with just my family coming to visit there was not a place for everyone to sleep and I know poor Randi is tired of getting the couch! So we purchased another guest bed, which means that we obviously think that lots of people want to come visit us! Hopefully Easton will attract some visitors for us! Of course when you buy a new bed, what else does that mean.. yep, your right... Casey gets to go shopping for new bedding and pillows! I really can't complain about sun and then shopping! ;) Here is what we ended up with.

Now I saved the best for last! Mr. Drake needs to get bragged on here, he scored some major brownie points this weekend. Sunday morning I went to church and ran some errands and was gone for a few hours. When I got back around one, I came home to find that Drake had put the WHOLE crib together by himself on his own, and had it all ready for me! I was so happy, I totally expected to have to pull him off the couch and bug him, but no he did it all on his own with out me bugging him! I guess he is ready for Mr. Easton to arrive! :)
You can imagine my smile when I walked in the door and this is what I saw! You can't see the finished product till I get the bedding all put in. However, that should be soon! :)

After the bed was in place, this is where  I found my two little helpers! All pooped from working so hard, and not missing a second of the football game.

Venice Beach..need I say more!

Drake and I had a wonderful weekend. We hoped on a quick flight to LA and happen to hit a beautiful weekend with the temperatures in the 80's! It was a nice change from the cold. We were able to see family and attend Drakes Brother's 50th birthday party. The party was wonderful, and I really wish I had pictures from the party to show you( it was not the type of party you could just walk around with your own camera), it was truly the  most beautiful party and so nicely done. I could try to explain the greatness of the party to you with pages of text and it would still not do the event justice, so I will just say great job Maggie, you did a great job on the party!

The  next day we went over to Venice Beach since it was so pretty outside and we were welcomed by some very interesting people, some might even be creatures. :) I know the beach is known for some crazies but it was truly a sight to be seen. I did find it interesting that there we so many activities in one place for people to par take in, and I got very excited about the spring time. I am so ready to get out and explore more of our new city and just be outdoors.

An outside gym on the beach! Arnold Schwarzenegger worked out here, and as you can see it draws lots of interesting people! I am thinking Randi might find her future boyfriend here when she comes to visit! Everyone keep your fingers crossed! ;)

If you thing is not working out, no worries you can spend the day spray painting the wall! No joke, that is what the wall is for!

You can just hang out and lounge anywhere here, so pretty!

You can spend your day skate boarding, I had never seen one of these skate board park things! There were little kids flying around on this, it was crazy!

You can shop the strip of fine retail shops! Every other shop sells medical marijuana cards, so come and get yours while you can! :)

You can tip all the homeless who want to show of their talents on the sidewalk!

You can go to the Freak show, literally staring freaks, that is how they advertised it!

I saved my favorite picture for last, if you want a good time, come to Venice beach you will "crack" up all day long!
