Hello Texas..

Tonight Easton and I read this book before he went to bed in honor of our departure tomorrow to Texas!:) The whole family is heading back home for a bit tomorrow, even Chloe! :) We are looking forward to seeing lots of friends and family!!

First off... Let's celebrate that Drake and I made it through the first year!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAAAAA... Oh wait, I forgot we are suppose to be celebrating Easton today! :) So here you go my little man..

This past year has truly been a year of memories I will never forget. You have blessed our family and brought us so much joy. I do not think I was truly ready for the overwhelming love that I would have for you, but in just one short year I have fallen in love with you 365 times! Your smile and laugh makes me remember what life is all about even on the hardest days. Your curiosity for life, your fearlessness for life and your love for life simply keep me in awe! We love you very much, and we look forward to watching you learn and grow!

The past year with my little man!!

Easton is closing out his first year at 21 lbs and 30 inches. He is an official walker, walking everywhere! He never figured out mama, but he is a pro at saying "Dada, ball, cheese, chick, hi, and hey". He loves his milk, and eats anything, however really likes to play wih his food more than eat . He knows what the word "No" means however he still really doesn't care what you have to say, he does what he wants!

To close today out, I can say that I 100% agree with the famous quote of:
"The years are short, but the days are long". 

I still can't believe it has been a whole year, but there are days that I wasn't sure we would make it to a year! :)

However, what a difference a year does make!!!

The Beach..

Today Easton and I headed to the beach with his buddy Drew! It was so pretty out and Easton loved playing there. He played for a few hours, decided he didn't want to eat his lunch he would rather play and then crashed within minutes of getting in the car! I call this a wonderful day!

Water Park..

A friend of mine, told me about a new park I should check out. So today, Easton and I went to check it out. I can 100% say it is our new favorite and we will be frequenting the park a lot this summer. It has a water feature, the bucket swings, a sand pit, low play stuff so Easton can climb and best of all lots of shade and trees for me! :) I could spend hours there!!

It is so fun to watch Easton play with other kids and watch other kids. He makes me laugh when he just stares, I want to tell him, "don't you know that is rude."! :)

A little of this and that...

Easton and I have been keeping busy lately. We have been just enjoying the warm weather and longer sunlight. We spend most of our days outside and if Easton could pick he would spend it outside and in the pool. Easton has a crazy love for water, and no fear when it comes to water. He just loves it! I  love that he naps like crazy after playing in the pool!
