Tahoe and a little water....

This past weekend Drake and I took Easton up to Tahoe to play in the snow! It was so pretty up in Tahoe, I just love being up there! We are thankful that Drake's mom has a house that we are able to use. Drake's brother John was up there with some families as well, so there were once again lots of kiddos. Easton loved the snow and had fun sledding. I however need to work on his vocab, because somehow out of the whole process he got that a glove is called "hand". He kept taking all the gloves off the drying rack and saying hand. He didn't really like his gloves on because he couldn't grab things, but he also really didn't like the cold snow on his hands. It was a lose/lose situation for him.

We also took Easton up on the gondola and he loved every minute of the ride! He had lots of fun, and was not scared once. Instead he kept asking me to open the door, while riding up a very steep hill. I do believe my kid is crazy.

So the snow and sledding was fun, but Easton wanted to make the weekend a little more fun! In short he somehow managed to clog a sink in the upstairs bathroom and since we didn't realize this had happened, he flooded a bathroom, that then poured water into the garage below. It was not what Drake and I call fun. Poor Drake spent most of the weekend working on getting people out to fix all the problems, and then on top of them pay them! I hope Easton realizes that he is now in debt in his savings account due to this event. After having to replace insulation and drywall, Easton is defiantly broke!

Even though the flooded bathroom put a damper on our weekend, we had to laugh to get through it. I so want to be a kid, Easton was clearly not phased by the event, and quickly dancing to elmo and loving life. Again, my kid is cray! :)

As always lots of pictures to share:
Started off Easy, wasn't sure about the snow and his balance!

Sledding with Dad in the backyard!

Super Dad...

This weekend Drake has been super dad! He was in charge of watching Easton Saturday Morning since I had a Junior League Event. He took Easton to the Jungle while I was there. Which is a big jungle of things to climb on and ball pits.. hints the name! Then that afternoon he took Easton to the zoo with me! I am pretty sure that any dad who goes to two crazy kid parks in one day, is crazy himself! :) I am so thankful that he did, by the end of the day, Easton was so tired he asked to get in bed and go night night!

Then Sunday, after church where Drake played with Easton on the playground for 30 minutes while I worked a table, he took Easton to the mall with me and then to the park! I think Drake is now in need of a nap himself!

We all loved having Drake home for a weekend! It has been so much fun, and we still have one more day! He has tomorrow off!

Easton brushing the goats... I was hogging the brushes..

Happy Boy riding the Cars...

Handsome boy all ready for Church!

He loves to Feed Chloe her treats..

Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Happy Valentines Day!

I hope that everyone has a great day! We are not doing much, but Easton did make sure to make Valentines for his friends at his Daycare, and with no surprise he picked Cars out! ( No lie.. ) However I am here to tell you if Elmo or Mickey had been an option, one of them would have won hands down!

XOXOXO!

Superbowl...

This past weekend Drake and I spent the weekend in NOLA. I hadn't actually been to NOLA since I was in a basketball tournament in middle school, so it was nice to go check it out as an adult. I loved the city, and it was so much fun eating my way through it! What else is a pregnant lady suppose to do in NOLA! :)

Most of you know I am kinda a picky eater and I normally don't order to many things "that are outside of the basic", but I decided to be adventurous and am so glad I did! I ate some of the best shrimp at Mr. B's and I even had to take the head off and all the other things, never have I ever worked so hard to eat a shrimp! Nor made the mess I made! :) I tried the gumbo, king cake, beniets (sp), and poboys! If I never eat a Cajun things again, I will be ok! ;)

Along with all my eating, I also was there for the Superbowl... just a small little game the NFL host every year! :) It still amazes me the money that the NFL puts into one 4 hour game, make that 4 1/2 game when the lights go out! There was not one detail left out, and everything was done to the nine. There was a NFL or 49er Logo just about on everything you could think of, there was a party for anything you needed to do and being at the team hotel there were more people than you can imagine coming out of the wood works trying to get in and see players! It was just an experience.

I loved every minute of it, till we lost! But even with a loss, I felt so blessed to experience the Superbowl as a fan of one of the two teams. It was so fun to be treated like someone special with chartered flights, police escorted buses, private buses to the game, passes to parties and a suite for the game. For one weekend, I forgot I am just a housewife and a stay at home mom! ;) It felt nice!

To top it off, Drake's mom was able to join us and it was so nice to have her with us. I know Drake loved having her there, and I loved having a buddy when Drake was busy!

Even though we loss, I feel that it is a weekend I will never forget, and most likely the last weekend I will have a  kid free weekend for quite some time! ( We owe a big thanks to my sister in law, Lisa, for taking Easton for 5 days. Yes, that is a long time, and a lot of my busy man! So we are grateful).

Not a bad way to start off the weekend.. our seats on the plane!

And we are off...

We made it...

More gifts in our room.. I could really get used to this!

My boy Colin, this was one wall in the hotel..

Welcome party...

At first I questioned the bibs for the shrimp, but boy was I glad I had it..

Float on the water...

Bourbon Street..

Drake and his mom outside the oldest bar in the US.

This is how you start off your day at breakfast..

CAA party, fun photo booth!

Game Day breakfast!

Concert at the tailgate..

Game time...

After party, snoop dog played.. we left before it got started really way to tired!

One faithful little boy, who is ready for next year! Loved seeing his sweet face when I got home!
All in all one successful weekend! However, I do not plan to be be pregnant at the next Superbowl, both Superbowl's my little ones have joined me in the womb, and boy do they wear me out on these trips! Lucky kiddos, lets see if they ever get to go not in the womb! :)
