knocking things off the bucket list...

Well I guess a bucket list is normally about things you want to knock off your list before you die, but I have created a list of things I must do while living in the bay area. You never know how long we will be in the bay area, so with that said, we got to business this weekend on our list! :)

There is a speak easy in the city, that I first saw on the Bachelor back when Ben was the Bachelor. I thought it looked fun, and I had never been to a speak easy. So I have been wanting to go try it. So this was the weekend, we went up to the city on Friday night to meet some friends that were in from Dallas. It was fun, and something different. I will say that I don't feel the need to go back, but at least I can say I tried it! ;)

This is just from their website, but the fun part about this place is that you are given a password when you make your reservation! Ours was "pinch". This is what I had to tell the lady when I knocked on the door!

So checked this off our list.

Then Saturday, Drake went to a golf  course that actually might be on his real bucket list, not just is bay area bucket list. The Cypress Point Country Club in Monetary is one of the top 3 courses in the world. You have to get invited to play with a member if you want to play, or I guess you could become a member, but well that isn't going to happen on our budge! So thank goodness he was invited by a client! He had a great time and said he had never seen something more beautiful.. do boys really say that! :)

Drake and Dustin at the golf course!

So with these things off our list, next up I have Golden Gate Park, Baker Beach and the San Francisco Zoo. Hopefully these things will be accomplished soon!

After thinking about a bucket list, I think I should make one for things I want to do before I turn 30... stayed tuned I need some time to think of this one.. I am thinking 30 things before 30! :)

Who is Who??

Well Today everyone is getting a little Quiz in honor of School starting! I figure we all need to get our brains working every once in a while! :)

So here you go:

Correct Answer: A is Michael
                            B is Easton

Hope everyone passed! :) Kidding.. but in all cuteness how cute is it that Easton is wearing the exact same outfit as his Daddy when he was a baby, and they look pretty much the same! I tried to get the same shot, but well you know how that goes with a 15 month old!

Easton is growing like crazy and everyday getting more and more of a personality and a vocab. Currently, every animal "moo's", last week they all "Quack Quacked" so who knows what all the animals will do next week. He loves books now, and we read lots at night, but I am starting to have enough of the llama llama books! Which is so sad, I loved them for a while, but after the 10th time of reading it a night, I am OVER IT! :)

As I watch Easton grow he looks more and more like Drake if you as me... see for yourself! :)

Yea they definalty have the same little looks! :)

Easton's first Circus...

Easton went to his first Circus today! He actually did really good and watched most of the show, I had brought his blanket along, because I wasn't sure how good he would do sitting there. Luckily, we were in a suite so Easton could move around if he needed to, without if being an issue. ( We are thankful for the last min tickets given to us by one of Drake's clients)

I however am going to have to step my game up as a parent, first off the Circus was a bit boring for me, and I am sure I have many more "a bit boring" shows ahead of me. ( I have never been good with animated stuff, so all those shows coming up, will be hard for me too) But the biggest shocker for me today is all the CRAP there is to buy for kids at these things. They were selling snow cones in a light up cup for $20... I'll say that again $20! Really, come on, I am never going to be able to WANT to buy this for Easton. That is Ridiculous. Then there were stuffed animals that were $25-$30. Seriously, I could buy him so much for that, who needs a stupid stuffed lion. So I guess if I was a good mom, I would have bought Easton one today, but I didn't!

I will say that Easton was more interested in pushing the buttons on the elevator than he was about anything else today, so for now, we will be leaving empty handed!

A little fan..

Today Easton and I headed up to Candlestick park ( where the 49ers play) for fan fest. It is just a day where they let all the fans come watch the team practice. So since it was pretty I thought it would be fun to go and let Easton play on the field since last year he was just a baby.

From the first day we found out we were having a boy, it has been a vision in my head of watching my little boy play with his Daddy out of the football field, and knowing that it would light up Drake's heart to know that his job allows Easton to not only think he is cooler than me, but to know that because of his job, he can bring joy to Easton.

Well today, was nothing short of what I had envisioned, but much more. Easton's eye grew huge as soon as we walked out on that football field, and they stayed light up as he looked around and tried to take it all in. I am not sure if the crowd of thousands of people and the noise the crowd brought along with them caused him to be in awe, or the fact that he saw a huge field that he could run crazy on. Did I mention this field had lots of balls, and I am pretty sure Easton only cares about two things in this world and that would be balls and running around.. so he was pretty much living the dream.

I kid you not, he ran straight up to a pile of footballs and started picking them up and throwing them. I know you think I am lying, but I promise he did, and with no guidance. It was really fun to see him and just to see him taking it all in.

I hope that I do get to watch him play a sport one day, and if he shows half the interest he showed today, he will defiantly be alright!  :)

Walking out with Daddy.
WOW he says..

Humm, I think I will explore

I think I have spotted something..

Yep, I found some footballs..

Where is the open man... looking for him..

Found him, it's time to throw... ( Pretty good hand postioning if you ask me)

Proud parents of the newest little fan! :)

Yea, are you following me with that camera again lady..

The crazy camera lady caught me.. :)

I think I like this..

The crowd is clapping, I should too I guess..

Best seat in the house...

Or wait, is this a better seat...

Thanks Daddy, for a good day! We love you!

Back to School...

Every year for as long as I can remember, I have always gotten giddy for the back to school section that gets displayed in late July early August at the stores. I always loved school as a kid so getting all new school supplies was always a big day at my house. I loved when I scored that "super cool 5 star trapper keeper binder".. yea you can call me a nerd. I was just as organized and OCD about things as I am today.

In college it wasn't as much about the school supplies as it was about getting that first day of class syllabus that was then going to outline my whole semester and tell me what parties I was going to be able to enjoy drinking some good ole drinks ( of course only after I was 21) and which parties I was going to have to get up and study for an exam the next day! I loved mapping out the semester with all the classes and color coding my calender with the different classes! yep, I was still a nerd..

Then as a teacher, I got to do all of this in one, what a dream!:) Each year I bought all new supplies for my classroom ( knowing good and well that my students were going to trash it all). I also got to plan out my lessons and semester, making sure I was covering all my topics. Let's just say I never really complained about going backing to school, even when it was called work.

So the last two years have been a little hard for me considering, I did not get to do any of this. I always tried to think of something fun I could buy out of the school supply section, like a fun binder or something, but since I really had not one use for it, it was really no fun! I have been sad as all my friends go back to school, and I still do the same ole same ole with my little man!

But this year ladies and gentleman, this will be different, because I am going back!!!!!!!!!!!! You are looking at the newest 8th grade math teacher for Quimby Oak Middle School for the next 60 something school days! :) Yea, so it's not full time, but it's a long term sub position for a teacher on maternity leave, and it feels so good to be going back.

This whole job totally feel in my lap, so I know it is God's answer to my prayers, as I have really been itching to go back, however not totally wanting to go back. You know that job that every mom wants, the one where you go to work when your kid is driving you nuts and you stay home when your kid is being super sweet. Yea, I prayed for that kind of job, and this is what God came up with. It is actually pretty awesome, because I get to truly see what a full time job is like, with out having to commit to a long time period. I am calling it a trail run, if I totally regret doing it, it is only 60 days and afterwards I can be a litte more thankful for my opportunity to stay home, and if I love it, then I know for sure that I need to get a full time job! It really is the best of both worlds. (However,  Drake is not sure this is the "best of both worlds" because he will now be getting Easton up, feed, and dressed and will be dropping him off with Miss Diana, every morning!!)

So with that, I am off to target to get me some supplies and Monday I will be at work working on my syllabus! :)

Friday Fun Day..

Friday was a big day for Mr. E. We went to the swimming pool with his buddy, Drew. They have a membership at a country club called, Courtside. It was so nice, because the pool has a small pool for kiddos, that has to be like 1 foot deep or so, which means Easton can stand on his own in the pool. Do you know where I am going with this... yes, that is right, I don't even have to get in the pool with him! Score.........

Easton played in the pool for an hour and half all by himself. ( Side note, before anyone reports me for being a bad mom, I was sitting on the edge of the pool watching him ) He would run from one side to the other and then under the mushroom and then repeat. He loved it. Drew his buddy was no so much a fan, so I felt kinda bad because we were the guest and my child wouldn't get out of the water, and poor little drew cried half the time and sat with my friend the other half.

Then after we left this pool, our friends invited us over for lunch and more swimming in their pool. So of course we went, it was fun Friday, and I was looking for a good way to wear him out, since we were having a dinner party at the house that night. I needed him ready for bed! :)

Hope everyone had a great Friday, and are enjoying their weekend! And for the record, my man basically passed out on me and slept right the dinner party, so mission accomplished! :)

Happy Anniversary..

Four years ago today, I married my best friend and it was one of the best days of my life! I still remember the fun, the friends who were there, the family that traveled to be there and the look on Drake's face when I walked down the aisle.

It was a day I will never forget, but what I have enjoyed more is the life we have created over the last 4 years. It just gets better and better, and I can't wait to see what the future holds for us. Here is to many more years of love and laughter!
