Thanksgiving Week and Easton's Baptisim

We had a great week this past week down at Drake's moms house. We drove down to her house on Tuesday and played all week. I love hanging out with his family, they are so fun and there is always something going on. We had a great Thanksgiving at Joe's house on Thursday, where some 40 something adults and 20 kids I would guess had dinner. It was great! Friday we celebrated a birthday for Sara and Shea. Then Saturday Mr. Easton was baptized.

We made it back early this morning ( after much debate on when to leave, Drake decided on 5 in the morning and I hate to say he was right, but we didn't hit any traffic!! So yes he gets some points for that) Speaking of points, when we got home, Drake scored even more points for himself, he helped me put the Christmas lights up outside and then watched Easton so I could get my tree up! I am a happy girl right now!

I could go into so much detail about the weekend but, we would all be here all day, so instead enjoy some pictures!!

He was super happy that it was Thanksgiving!

I love this picture, he actually looks like a fat kid! :)

Family picture!!

Easton was as in to the 49er game as Drake was!!

I love watching Easton playing with all his cousins!

About to get baptized!

So neat to see all of these family members at Easton's baptism!! Thank you everyone for coming!

The gown Easton was baptized in, was the same gown that all of his cousins and I think aunts and uncles were baptized in as well! pretty cool!

Thankful...

It is the week of Thanksgiving and I have no idea how we got here so fast! Last I checked it was summer and now Halloween has come and gone and Thanksgiving is about to as well.. time is flying.

However I can't let the day pass me without telling everyone my biggest lesson this year. Well there are two actually. First being how incredibly thankful I am for my FAMILY. I capitalize it because I mean the WHOLE family ( Drake, Easton, Chloe, Mom, Dad, Sister, Grandparents, Aunt's Uncles, Drake's HUGE family and anyone in between). I have learned that with out family a lot of things just don't matter. Drake and I have had a big year and in the end I have decided it doesn't matter what little cracker jack box of a house we live in, as long as we are living in it together, it will be fun and all I need! As long as you have family, life is good!!

The second lesson I have learned is to be thankful year around and on a daily basis. Easton has taught me this lesson. Daily I am tell myself how thankful I am to have him, healthy and growing. He has taught me that life is so simple, just laugh and play and everything will be ok! Ok, so throw in a cry every once in a while too :) Truely, Easton puts lots of things in persepective for me! ( Who knew that a 6 month old would be teaching the teacher!! )

So this year I am thankful for Everyone who is apart of my life and my family. I love each and every one of you!

I hope that everyone has a Happy Thanksgiving.

Happy Weekend...

This weekend was a great weekend.. Lots of things going on..

To start the weekend, Friday I went to MOPS at my church and I put my sewing skills to work. We made dresses for girls around the world that do not own even 1 dress.. how sad is that, think about how many things you had to pick from today when you got dressed, and these poor girls don't even have one dress. Check it out if you have time!

Saturday, Drake and I headed up to the city for a date night. We took Easton over to Drake's bothers house and his girls, Sara and Shea babysit him for the night. It was no nice to have a night out with out spit up on me, having to feed and entertain E and then to sleep through the night. We went to one of Drake's work events but then went out afterwards. It was so fun, and I totally felt like a newlywed again, I loved every minute of it!!

Sunday was a big day for two reasons. One the 49ers won another big game, 8-1!! This is great for Drake and exciting for everyone. Let's not remind anyone around the bay area who the one loss is too.. DALLAS  COWBOYS!!! :) But more importantly my sister ran her 1st full marathon and did awesome. I am so proud of her!! So while she was running 26.2 miles, I was nursing my hangover on the couch.. I am sure I don 't need to explain how big of a loser I felt like laying on the couch while she was running, however I figured she was running enough, it would count for me too! :)  Love you sister!

Other fun things from the weekend. Drake cleaned up his room and the house is officially all back in order!! This makes me very happy.( I should put a disclaimer in here, Drake does not have is own room, I just call the extra bedroom his room, since that is where all of his clothes are!! There was simply not enough space in the master, so he got the luxury of the spare room for his clothes. I still allow him to sleep in the master.. :) )  I also walked to the mall from our new house this weekend in under 5 mins. This assures me that I will get in trouble often. Who wouldn't be happy about this fun fact about our new house, does everyone know why I picked the house now! :)

Hope the happiness carries over into every one's work week!! Have a great week! Easton and I are off to Dallas to Celebrate Kathryn and Ryan, and to see lots of friends of course!!

3 years of Marriage and 3 houses later...

So lets hope this trend of moving every year does not keep up, I simply can't handle another move for a while! Good news though is that we are officially all moved and all back to normal! I survived the weekend on my own and still made it to all 3 of my events. I was pretty happy with the outcome of the weekend.

Recap:

Friday: God knew I could not do this alone and was of course watching over me and sent me an little gift and she goes by the name of Gina Smalley! She is a lady in my bible study group, who called me on Friday and offered to take Easton off my hands for the whole day. It was truly a God send, because she kept him and I got a big chunk of stuff done on Friday! I am so thankful for her. Friday night, my MOPS group had a date night opportunity, where you can drop your kid off for 3 hours and then go out on a date with your husband. So even though Drake was gone, I sure did take Easton over there, and then I went to Wendy's and Target all by myself! Now, that is a date night I know you all dream of! :)

Saturday: Moving day is here, the movers were also wonderful, they got me loaded, and unloaded all by 1pm on Saturday! It was great.. My other God Send was my other friend named Gina, who came and took Easton to the mall with her and watched him for the day. She also then took him home with her and watched him all night so I could go to my first Junior League Charity Event that I had signed up to volunteer at. I owe her big time! Without her, I would have been crying in the corner, I am sure of it.

Sunday: I woke up at like 5am with the dumb time change and had this great idea that I was going to get all this stuff unpacked, however Easton was not on board with my idea. The next few hours proved how wonderful the girls who watched Easton all weekend had been.. I didn't get one box unpacked when I was by myself with Easton. I couldn't even pull out my bad mom moves and put Estien on over and over, we didn't have it hooked up. The day got better, because Easton went to his first birthday party for our friend Sloane and then our friend Lindsay came over and watched Easton while I finished a huge chunk of boxes.
Once agian, I am so thankful for all my friends who helped me, I would literally be sitting in boxes still.

Monday: Drake took off the day after a short meeting in the morning and I had a game plan for us.. I was the coach and he was the player, I told him the play and he executed them. It was great team work and in the in, I would say that we won, because we had every box out of the house, the garage cleaned out and I could park in there!  ( Just for those who are counting: Number of times Drake has been around for a move (0)  and number of times Casey has been around (3) .. I am not liking this score)

All in all, I am happy with the new house, things turned out pretty good and I know that Goodwill is staying in business with all of our moves, I just keep cleaning out or maybe I have a fear of being on the hoarders show or something I don't know.. let's just hope that we don't have another move for a while!

Here are some pics..

Chloe is making sure that she does not get left, she unsure about all of this.
