Fun Family Weekend..

This past weekend we headed up to Sacramento to see some of Drakes family. We got to see two of his sisters families and his mom. It was so much fun, I did not want to leave. There were lots of kids, but of the kids 4 of them are under 2, so it was fun to watch them all play, fight a little, and just watch each other.

It was simply a blast and I hope we all get together again soon! Here are some pictures from the weekend!
Little Maddie and Uncle Mike... See I think he would do good with a girl! :)

Riley, how cute is she??

All three of the big babies, trying to get them to all stand was not easy!!

So I have not seen many pictures of Jenny and Drake when they were little ( they are twins), but I imagine them to look just like this.. Riley looks like Jenny and Easton looks like Drake. - I think Maureen should find me a picture! so I can compare :)

My little basketball man!!

Easton and Granny playing..

Everyone has to have a bathtub picture with their cousins!!

Sisters, Riley and Maddie!! Two beautiful girls!!

All the little babies.. I love that Easton has cousins to play with!! We just need some more boys, he is totally out numbered! :)

While all the kids played, my kid played with the dog bowl.. figures!

11 months folks...

Today I turned 11months, and I am getting excited that I am so close to being a big 1 year old. I am also feel like once I turn one, I can just say I am one and we can stop all this so many months old business. You people are all crazy....you want to take pictures each month, and talk about my big milestones.. oh wait I think it just MY MOM that is crazy. I don't think normal people make their poor son sit in a chair each month for a picture... one more month to go and I am done with my duties. Thank goodness.. :)

So to stick with tradition here are few things my mom thinks are cool that I did this month..
* I took three steps in a row and my mom went crazy, so I decided to stop that business. I think I will just crawl some more, she doesn't seem to get as excited. I do like to tease my mom by doing a few steps a day, but to many!
* I figured out how to say ball, and that really seems to upset my mommy, because I am still making her hold out for my big debut of the word " Mama", but for now I am just not going to stick to my Dada, hi and ball
*Speaking of balls, I LOVE them.

I am going to stop at three things, only because I only know how to count to 3. Well I can't count, but my mommy counts to three for me all the time, and I know to turn and look at my mommy when she gets to three. Are there numbers after three???

I have to brag on myself really quick. I have been watching my mom closely and when I see her do something, I go do it too, but way better than her.. See look...

Well people, I am off to go do some more helping around the house.. Till next month...  Love, Easton

Easton's going to be...

A Ring Bearer...

I am so excited. It will be so cute to see him walk down the aisle, that is if he actually does that. The wedding is March 2nd so hopefully he will be a big boy then. He will be close to two, so we can only hope that he will be able to do a good job!

Let's be honest about it all, I just want to dress him up in a little suit or tux.. how cute does that have to be on little boys!

This is the sweet cookie that my sister sent him and he clearly enjoyed it!

We can't wait till March 2nd!! :)

Just another Monday...

Today was just beautiful here.. So we took advantage of the pretty day and got outside. The forecast calls for rain for the rest of the week, so we could not pass the day up! Easton played outside in the backyard all morning after our walk, and well he is a freakin monkey! ;) Here are some pictures..

Then while he was napping, I decided to try out my new juicer!! He had quite the treat waiting for him when he got up.. Strawberry and Carrot Juice! :) Yumm.. I had Pineapple and Carrot.. it was yummy!

He has Risen..

Easter is always a wonderful day. The past few years Drake and I have either cooked a lavish breakfast or gone to eat a lavish brunch after we attend the early Church service. We normally go to the early service to avoid the crowds, however this year, we were planning around nap schedules so things changed a bit.

First, of course the Easter bunny came, and brought Easton this basket full of goodies. Then I had to go teach my little kiddos where we made crosses out of jellybeans and went through the Easter Story while Easton took his nap. Then finally we got to go as a family to church to the last service. We invited some friends, so they came and then we all went to lunch. It was a wonderful day even though things were a bit different.

However, the lavish brunch, the Easter bunny, and the Egg hunts are all great but my prayer this Easter is that my son will enjoy those things in the future, but will be able to see past all of this and understand the true meaning of why we celebrate Easter. I read him the Easter story, and I hope this is something we do together every Easter, and that one day he reads it to me instead. I pray that he understands how undeserving we of God's Grace, yet we have been blessed with this wonderful gift. I hope he takes the gift and shares it with the world.

For this is the True reason of Easter..

And this is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.
- 1 John 2:25

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through Him.”
- John 3:16-17

For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised; and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is worthless; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. If we have hoped in Christ in this life only, we are of all men most to be pitied. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those who are asleep.
- 1 Corinthians 15:16-20

He has definatly Risen!!

Easter Egg Hunt...

Today we had an Easter Egg hunt for Easton and a friend. The ones here got canceled, due to the rain last weekend, so we made our own. It is also still a bit chilly, so we had to do it inside!! It didn't really matter because Easton was not to interested in hunting eggs. Once he got one egg open and saw there were cheerios in them, all he wanted to do was eat them!! So then he stopped looking for all eggs and stuffed his face like I never feed him!! Chloe also enjoyed the Cheerios with him.. it was cute however!!

Hope you all have a great Easter Weekend!!

I have my hands full with this boy..

Easton has just been a mess lately, a fun mess however! He has been babbling a ton, so Drake and I think it is fun to pretend we are having conversations with him. The funny part is he actually makes some noise back and sometimes they actually sound like responses that are in line with our make up conversation. Pretty funny!

Easton also has been trying to do everything I do, which is cute and annoying all at the same time. If I am unloaded the dishwasher, he is there to help. He wants to pull everything out, but clearly not put anything away. We did have a good system with the silverware the other day. The same goes for the laundry, he wants to pull it out rather it is dry or wet, and he pulls it all onto the floor.

He is interested in everything, and checking you out anytime you are doing something knew. He saw me flossing my teeth and was staring at me with this look of " what are you doing", so I got a little flosser and flossed his teeth and he laughed the whole time, and then took the flosser out of my hand and he wanted to do it. Clearly he just stuck it in his mouth, but he tried. He wants to do everything himself.

He has been pretty fun however when it comes to playing, and is getting good at copying whatever I do. He knows/recognizes some commands, however he still pretends he doesn't hear me when I say "no" at times, there is where I have come to the realization that I will be very good friends with Easton's teachers and principals in school.

Easton will turn his head in a flash if he hears you count to 3, it is pretty funny. He loves playing with balls and other than that he could do with out all his toys. He likes anything he can get into at the moment. The toilet, the little knobs on the bottom of the toilet and toilet paper are all amazing to him. Really annoying when he undoes a whole fresh roll.

Crazy enough he is 6 weeks from turning 1, and he still keeps us laughing and on our feet. Here are some pictures for you..
My helper in the kitchen, who throws things!!

Copying Dad, has to have a remote too to watch TV.

Playing with Dad!!

Making Noise and helping unload the dishwasher..

Umm, Can I pull this out for you...loves pulling things out of the dryer!

This is my favorite.. I am pretty sure he is going to throw a mean fast ball one day!

Will you play catch with me..
Look mom, I am standing on my own!!!

Playing with his little buddy!
