Thanksgiving with the Drakes..

So every part of Thanksgiving was just wonderful, except the fact that I can't button my pants today! ;) I ate way to much, but it was all so yummy! As always, I love going to the Drake house and seeing Easton play with all his cousins. My heart truly is filled with Joy when I see Easton running around with them all, even the big ones, who are so sweet with the little ones.

Late last night so of the older boys were playing basketball, and they let Easton play! He was on one of the teams, and litterally just ran through them the whole time. He often took a water break and went and grabbed his sippy cup, I mean it's hard work playing basketball! :) Everything was really cute, till it ended up in a busted lip for Easty Boy!

Just a few pictures from our trip! Hope everyone had a great day!

My little family!

The kids table.. Can you find Easton??

There he is!! :)

The four little ones playing together at Grammy's!

Making a pizza at Pretend City together!

On a side note, I am very thankful that Easton knows his manners, and says please for things. But he has gone over board, and I am not lying when I say that he has been saying "Peas" no less than 1,000 times a day. I can't take it anymore.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!  So on that note, I am off to bed to prepare myself for the next day of 1,000 pleases!

Happy Thanksgiving...

Happy Turkey day! I hope everyone has a great day and is surrounded by friends and family, and of course good food! :)

I didn't do the Day by Day thing of thankfulness like everyone else on facebook, so instead you get to hear it all at once! My 22 days of thankfulness up to thanksgiving! ** In no order, just as I thought of them**

I am thankful for:

1) GOD, who loves me when I am undeserving

5) My sister, my best friend
6) Chloe girl, who is always so happy to see me no matter how long she has been stuck at the house
7) My Friends, who have not forgotten about me since I moved, and for for new friends who make San jose fun!
8) to be gaining a brother in law this year
9) my home, that is all nice and cozy!
10) airplanes, they get me a lot places throughout the year to see everyone
11) My camera, we all know I can't live without it! :)
12) Revenge and Dancing with the Stars, so nice to relax everyone in a while and have something to watch
13) The opportunity to stay home with Easty boy, I am going to be a little more thankful for that these days
14) Facetime, how else would my mom see Easty boy do so much!
15) My church, it has been a great place to get involved!
16) My IPAD, how else would I get through some meals with Easton! ;) Love ELMO
17) Holidays, love seeing family
18) My Parents, who love me and still guide me
19) Wine, it always makes a hard day a bit easier! :)

22) My Life, I am blessed, and though I am not perfect, I know I am loved!

A little cooking and little gifting..

I am defiantly getting ready for the Holiday season! I started the weekend out by going to my MOPS meeting, where part of my leadership position is missionary work for our group. We decided to participate in Operation Christmas Child, and our group packed up over 70 boxes!

So here I am loading up all the boxes! Thank goodness for the little cart! ;)

Here is where all our boxes are going!  Wish I could see the smiles on their faces when they get their boxes!

...and in case you were wondering, this is where they will be going!!

Then Saturday I got up to meet some girlfriends of mine at a cooking class at Sur La Table! ( Not pronounced "Table" as I was corrected! :) ) We baked up some yummy holiday treats! We started off with Bourbon Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake bites! Yummy! However, we then made homemade rolls, and if anyone knows me well, they know that I only need rolls at holiday feasts, I can skip the turkey and all the sides, and just eat rolls! So needless to say, I ate way to many rolls. I even brought home 2 for Drake, but ate both in the car on my drive home! Bad girl , I know.

So I guess I will share my favorite tip from the class. **When your recipe calls for melted butter, then put your stick of butter on the top of the oven as it is preheating, and you will have perfectly melted butter**

Kristin was cooking and cleaning, her husband would be so proud! ;)

Then I finished the Day off with Drake, Easton and I going to shop for our little boy we picked off the angel tree! This boy, Marcos, wanted a soccer ball and shin cards. So this was perfect! Easton picked up a bunch of balls of the shelve and kept putting them in the cart! He just kept saying, Ball, Ball, Ball.. it started to get annoying! Drake was like having another kid with me at target, the two boys were playing chase in the clothes while I stood in the long line at Target to check out. Never go on a Saturday night to target. I was all checked out and literally just waiting for the boys to come back to the front, I couldn't find them! I was thankful that Drake was with me, I would have never made it through the line with him occupying Easton!

So all in all, we had a great weekend and we are ready for some Turkey and Stuffing this week, and well of course some more rolls!

Chicago....

To mark off one of my biggest items on my bucket list of 30 things before I turn 30, My mom and headed to Chicago for the weekend. I had never been before, and I have now decided it might be one of my favorite places. I just loved it! We had two beautiful days where the weather was just perfect, we didn't have to wear jackets, just our sweaters! Then a cold front came in late Sunday, but it was still lots of fun to get all bundled up, I don't get to do that to much!

My mom and I got there on Saturday, and straight from the airport we hit up Michigan Ave and started shopping. We saw all the tourist spots, we shopped till are arms hurt from holding bags and we had lots of yummy pizza! Good thing you walk around so much to walk off all the deep dish pizza!

All in all, it was a great trip! I am in all in the Christmas spirit now too, since while we were there, we watched them put up all the lights and actually saw most stores change their displays into Holiday themes, not to mention I did lots of Christmas shopping! :)

Hello Chicago!

View from the top of the Hancock building!

On Navy Pier looking back, so pretty!

Navy Pier!

All the decorations and windows were done for the Macy's building, which used to be Marshall Fields.. ! :)

Bad picture I know, but I got yelled at for taking a picture in the theater. We saw I love Lucy, it was really cute!

We were true tourist, we did the double Decker tour bus! haha

We found the bean!

These might have been the best pancakes of my life. Tiramisu pancakes! To die for..

Don't worry Chicago hasn't completely bypassed Fall, all the sidewalk flower beds had these, so cute!

Until we meet again Chicago, or until my bank account can handle another trip! ;)

Opening Day..

To our all fellow Hunters out there, Happy Opening Weekend! Easty Boy is all ready to go, in a few years I will be taking my little man to his Pop's Deer Lease and he will be hunting with Pop. I can't wait for that day, but until he is big enough, he will just dress up in spirit!
