We love the weekends..

This weekend was one of those weekends that I live for! We spent Friday just hanging out around the house and cooking out! Saturday we went to one of Easton's buddies birthday parties! Where he had a blast! Then Sunday we were off to the beach! Love my family time, and watching Easton just explore!

Friday night, we ran into Daddy while taking a walk! Daddy was on his way home, so guess who had to hop in! :)

Saturday we went to Drew's birthday party, and guess who was the first kid in the pool! :) Yep, you guess right.. this guy!

Easton hitting the pinata! :) He dove in for the candy after it was broken!

Sunday, this guy was ready to go to the beach!

Sunday Funday at the Beach!

He was at it again with the waves!

He played and played, wouldn't even eat lunch! Not surprised!

Found a new play area!

Now he just goes on in! ( It is freezing if you ask me!)

A little break time, some IPAD play and shade for a bit!

Since I just cleaned him up, he thought it was a good idea to go lay in the sand! BOYS!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! ;)

I think I might be in trouble in the future..

Easton and I ran to the mall today, and we stopped by the play area on our way out. Easton loves the play area, but he has recently discovered a few little arcade type rides on the backside of the play area. He now runs out of the play area and over to the rides. So he gets a ride today, and then starts telling me "Want". So I ask him, " What do you want". He points at my purse, and some how knew it was called a purse, as he said "want purse". ( Not sure if I should worry that he knows what purses are.. too girly if you ask me).. So I give him my purse, and he digs right in for my wallet. Pulls out my wallet, asks me to open it, and after I do so, he immediately pulls out my credit card. He takes the card and starts sliding it where you are suppose to insert coins.

It was one of those moments as a mom that you take in what just happened, and you go " Oh my gosh how did he put it all together.. " . Then a few things run though my head..
1) Wow, he is pretty smart he knows a credit card is money
2) Wow, he is pretty dumb, he thinks the card was going to fit in the slot
3) Wow, he knows the machine takes money, being that I have actually never paid for him to ride it
4) Wow, I might shop way to much if he knows that much about a credit card

I should have known he knew all of this, for every time we go to target ( our main shopping trips)  or any store for that matter, he is the swiper of the credit card. He loves the job, and actually is pretty good at it. However, I am a bit worried that as he gets older he might just think swiping the card is no big deal, I KNOW that he doesn't understand that you have to have money to be able to swipe the card! To him it most likely some magical card that works wonders.. if only that was the case! :)
"Want Momma Want"

So good thing I have been resourceful lately with our fruit that was going to go bad! I went to costco last week, and while their fruit always seems like such a deal, we can't eat all of it before it goes bad! So I made Popsicles with the strawberries and two loafs of banana nut bread with the bananas. Guess I am going to have to get good at this, if Easton is going to keep just swiping my card! ;)

Beach Time with Grandma Maggie..

My mom is still in town, so we decided to take her to the beach this weekend. We did the boardwalk first, because we thought that Easton would have more fun there. However, turns out he clearly is still to small to ride the rides and there was no pop a shot in the Arcade, so he was not impressed! :)

We then headed over to a restaurant called The Crows Nest, and it was perfect, we sat on a patio and watched the boats come in and out of the Harbor. So pretty!

Then we finished up at Capitola, which ended up being the best spot once we finally found a parking spot!

It was a perfect day and the best weather.. I think I might of convinced my mom that California is kinda cool, she has to go back to Texas and is going to sweat her booty off! :) Not Jealous this time of year!

Sorry for the million of pictures.. Eeek I got camera happy!

A little arcade at the boardwalk!

Beach from Santa Cruz Boardwalk!

Seeing what he thinks about the sand and water!

They were watching the surfers..

Capitola

Grandma Maggie showed me the water.. and then I loved it! Again.. Again..

I think I will stick with Grandma Maggie.. she is pretty cool!

Love this..

Here comes the waves..

Here I come..

No fear of COLD water..

Yep, I am going again..

Wahoo this is fun.. I think I will just dance about it..

and keep dancing..

Yep, I took a good nap after this day!

He then found himself a seat to watch.. this was not our chair!

Offically a big boy and offically ready for a newborn.. kinda! :)

This week my mom and I have been hard at work getting Easton's big boy room together and getting our newest addition a room to reside in come July! The past month has been a bit surreal for me, Easton is growing up way to fast all right before my eyes! Being that I have never been around toddlers, I will say that their ability to learn and pick up things at a rapid pace still boggles my mind. Easton in a matter of a month has come out of now where and learned all his letters ( minus V and C, for some reason he can't remember them), learned to count to 10, can sing a few songs ( kinda clearly) and knows where to get his diapers and where to throw them away, now if he could just change himself or hey better yet potty train himself! ;)

With all his big boy days lately it is only fitting that he has a big boy room before he becomes a big brother in a few months. So that is exactly what he has now, a big boy room filled with non other than airplanes.. he has an obsession! :)

Now with one nursery gone, we had to add another! So little baby Drake has some really cute digs waiting for him or her too! I love this room, it is clean and simple which is one of my favorite trends right now. The room worked out really good being that I wanted to keep our guest bed in the room along with the crib! Poor second baby doesn't get near the stuff that the first gets, but Easton is willing to share MOST of his ( he is into " NO MINE" right now). With just 3 1/2 short months we are ready for the little one to arrive, minus clothes! I should be embarrassed by the lack of clothes this child has compared to what was hanging in Easton's closet at this point!

Here is the room, ready for a boy or a girl.. you can't tell in the pictures very well but the mirror and the curtains are both a mint green color! The rest is gray and white! Once the little one arrives, I will add a rose pink or something if it is a girl, and then some boy stuff if it's a boy! So as you can see Grandma Maggie has shopping to do in July! ;)

Kat's Bachelorette Party...

Well I am in Texas again, go figure! ;) This time I came in for my friends Bachelorette Party. A group of us went down to Fredricksburg, and did a weekend of wine tasting. It was good to see all my friends again and just all be together, it had been a while.

While I was at the party, Grandma Maggie and Aunt Randi kept Easty Boy for me. So a huge thanks to them for doing that. I am pretty sure Easton wore them out! :)

Here are some pictures from the weekend!
