Santa Barbara...

This weekend we decided to go play in Santa Barbara! Drake went to school there, so it was always somewhere I wanted to visit, even before we moved to California! I do not think we could have picked a better weekend to go!

This weekend happen to be the Summer Solstice parade weekend, and believe me if you want to do some people watching, you don't want to miss this event! :) It was crazy the stuff people had on, or the lack of clothes they had on actually! Good thing Easton took a nap during the parade, he didn't need to see some of the crazies!

With the parade going on, the town was pretty busy, but so fun! We also got another special treat this weekend! On our way down we decide to just see if Drake's mom could come meet us since we were only going to be 2 hours from her. Well sure enough, she thought it was a great idea and she came to spend the weekend with us! It was so nice to get to spend the day together!!

We went to the beach to check it out, biked on the beach, eat lunch, watch a parade, went to the party at the end of the parade, went to dinner, saw UCSB campus and got a tour of Drake's old go to spots in college! It was a fun filled weekend and I need a nap! :)

The cutest little hotel right on State street!

The view at the end of the street! Right on the Pier!

Grammy is here! :)

Our little bike cart! Drake and I had to petal! Easton got to ride in the basket! He has it made!

He made many friends at the hotel, so this is just one of the many times he was running around saying hi to everyone or everything he saw!

The best float of the parade! There was an acrobat girl inside this doing flips!

Slide at the park!

Easton playing while daddy was shopping for some new board shorts!

This pictures reaffirms how much easton looks like Drake!!

Happy boy!

This is just one of those pictures, that for some reason I love! I have no idea why, but its that weird mom thing! :)

My boys!!

Easton getting a tour of the school! We start touring college early around here!

Not a bad view if your sitting in class! I think I understand why Drake thought Lubbock was boring! :) How do you study with this in your sight! :)
I  loved seeing Drakes college and his houses he lived in and the spots they hung out in!! So fun! :)

Monterey Bay Aquarium ...

Today was a great day! Drake and I took Easton to the Monterey Bay Aquarium and it was absolutely amazing. I am not sure who liked it more, Drake and I or Easton! I will say that a Saturday is a little packed however, it should be called a Zoo on Saturday instead of an Aquarium. However, it was super fun and I have tons of pictures, so sorry for the long post! :) Enjoy..

Here we go..

First sop, and they are feeding the fish!! Pretty cool, because the guy waved at Easton and of course Easton had to say " HI" like he could hear him..

Beautiful..

What is up there..

I think this place is pretty cool Mommy and Daddy..

I could watch my boys together all day long..

We all know Easton, I think I will just pick this up, Even though the sign says, " Please don't touch the star fish" , Drake was quickly going in to grab the poor fish! :)

What is over here, I want to touch it all..

Little family of 3..

Happy Boy..

Mom, could you please not take any pictures, I am busy looking at the fish!! They are cooler than you!

I had an obsession with the Jelly fish!

I mean really, how interesting are these things..

Hi...

Mom, Please I would rather look at fish then take pictures..

The kids areas here are amazing, we spent 30 mins playing in just one of the many!

Love my boys!!

This is a sea horse, can you believe it!

I didn't realize sea horses were so small..

We found another play area, and Easton had so much fun!
We had a great day and we hope that everyone had a wonderful Saturday as well and stayed cool, it was 97 here in San Jose, pretty hot when you don't have air conditioning!

Somedays...

Yes, I think someone wrote this with me in mind. This pretty much sums up all that I miss about Texas, minus all the Houston references, just replace that with the Cowboys and Mavs! :)

Oddly enough, I feel that I will also have days that I miss California when I no longer live in California, so they will have to make me one of these for California when that day comes!

Hope everyone is having a great week... everyone stay cool, I actually feel like I am in Texas right now, it is pretty hot here in San Jose!!

My Top 5 favorite things about this week...

1) I found the cutest little restaurant in Los Altos that is kid friendly. It's called Bumble! I think I might be in love all over again. This place is not only cute, but it has a day care for the kids, so you can enjoy your food while you eat! I will say that again DAY CARE!!! As a mom, this is the most fabulous news I have ever heard. To get a kid free lunch in the middle of the day is about the best gift you can give me. This place even has the cutest meals for the kids, and their bathrooms are stocked with all size diapers, organic too! Here are some pictures..

The Sandbox for the kids to play in outside, and they can't get out!! :)

The playroom!!

Part of the inside
This is next to the playroom, so if you want to watch your kids you can!!

The patio

2) This week I also got new dining room chairs that I love. I have been wanting new ones for a while, and came across some while I was in Texas! I ordered them and they arrived the day after I got back so it was perfect!!

I got the matching Ottoman for the living room, but it's not in yet!! So I hope it all looks good together!!

3) I love now that everywhere I go and everything I open up, I tend to find random toys that Easton has placed around the house. It is amazes me how kids can drop things in places and then totally forget about them. Easton hid my cell phone this week which was not fun when trying to find it, but don't worry it was in his toy box.. I mean phones are toys to little kids I guess! :) .. He is my latest find..
This is what I found when I went to get a cooking utensil.

4) Easton is finally old enough to really enjoy and actually play at the children's museum. I used to take him and he would just look around, but this time he was wall over the place!!

A little boy was talking to Easton and I at first thought the boy was scaring Easton because he was making scary noises, but no Easton thought he was funny!
You could open and shut the doors to the butterflies, so we did this for a while!
Easton is into stacking things these days, so he stacked the dead bugs over and over again!

There is a Little Rascal in there, and Easton would not leave this part of the zoo! They have lots of animals in the zoo, but they were all sleeping so Easton doesn't see them unless they are moving! So this was the only moving one, so of course he loved it!
5) Lastly, I love the weather this week!!! After being in Texas for 10 days, I can say I don't miss the heat and humidity at all. I loved coming home to the forecast below..

I hope everyone had a great week and has a wonderful weekend!!! :)
