Easter Bunny and Swim lessons, Oh what a day...

Today we went to see the Easter Bunny! Easton loved him, and was not scared. I thought he might be since he has been such a cry baby lately, but who knew all I needed was an Easter Bunny Costume to cheer the guy up! :)

We also had Easton's first swim lesson this morning. He loved it! Water is one of his favorite things, but the teacher was talking about splashing and then in two seconds Easton started splashing. He didn't stop the whole time. I think I might need goggles next time, he kept getting water in my eyes and I couldn't see with my contacts!! Easton had fun so that is all that matter. I didn't get a picture at the pool, but this is afterwards on the way home!!

When Daddy is away, Easton and Mommy will play...

Drake has 8 days of travel straight, so that leaves Easton and I on our own... We are currently on day 6! So far so good, only had one day that I thought I was going to have to give Easton away!! Friday the two of us just did not see eye to eye, and all I could conclude from the day was that if Easton's behavior was even a small glimpse of the terrible twos that are to come, then I am defiantly going to go back to work full time. :)

Other than that day, things have been good and Easton and I have been out and about to keep busy! We figure we should just play all day!! Here are some pictures for ya..

Playing in the pool.. He starts swim lessons on Thursday, lets hope it goes well! He is not afraid of the water at all.. could be a good and a bad thing! :)

At Dinner with our friend Lindsay!!

Easton putting the ball in the whole!! We would then wait for the ball to come down the wall and repeat for 30 mns.. I swear!!! How can that be fun!

Playing at the sand table!!
Playing fire fighter.. :)

Playing in the water zone at the Children's Discovery Museum..

Playing with his new kitchen! ( This kitchen took me 2 hours to put together!! )

Playing with his trucks!!

Mommy just playing with her camera and take pictures!!

Easton playing in his room! I only posted this because I love that he can go get his own toys!!
I hope everyone gets to play a little this week! :)

March has been a good month so far...

Top 5 things I have loved about this month so far.. ( In no particular order)

1) I finally got my guest bedroom looking good, it was a mess of Hodge podge stuff for a while, but the help of Julie Salley and some shopping it is looking much better..

2) The weather has been so pretty here that I just had to get out door furniture! I was so excited about it all, and when my parents were here, they were so wonderful and set it all up for me. It took them a while to put some parts together, so I am very grateful for them. On a bummer note, it has rained everyday since I have had the furniture.. I still like to look at it for now!

3) One of my friends that I have meet out here, Lacey, painted this really pretty picture and posted it on her blog. She was kind enough to put instructions, so I sure did follow them and make my own picture. It is now found a nice home right over our living room couch! ( Thanks to Julie Salley for helping me again, got to love moms)

4) For my birthday, my sister gave me a wireless remote to my camera. I have been wanting one for a while, so I was pretty excited. So a few days ago, I decided to play with it to figure out how to work it and all that stuff. This is one of my favorite pictures I got from our little session. ( Drake is going to kill me, because I am defiantly going to make him take family pictures all the time with this remote)

5)  I also am very excited because to go along with all my new stuff this month, I am getting a new brother in law!! I am so excited for my sister and her new fiancee who got engaged this past weekend. Troy pulled off a great surprise and now we can't wait for all the festivities!! Pretty cool picture, as he had friends and family drop this banner over the 360 bridge in Austin!!

If this is what the first 20 days of March brought I can't wait for the last 10 days.. ok 11 days! :) Hope everyone has a great week!

My name is Easton and I am 10 months old...

- I love to play in Chloe's dog food, my mom hates it
- I know the word "No", but I am a baby so I think I will test it for a while to see how long my mom goes crazy, they don't know I understand and just don't want to listen
- I can crab crawl faster than most people can walk
- I like the water in the toilet, it is a fun place to play
- I enjoy throwing my food down to Chloe and then seeing how much food I can get on the floor, so my mom has to pick it all up
- I love when my mom says "mama" to me I just say "dada" right back.. that is my answer for everything
- I finally decided to sleep on a flight for my mom, I figure after 11 flights in 10 months that would be nice of me.. I asked for my own frequent flyer card, and I got turned down
- I like to chase Chloe, not sure if she likes me yet
- I love my bath time, I would play in there all day if my mom let me
- I like to do whatever I want to do, I just hate it when my mom has a plan for me..
- I have hair on my head now, however I have been told I look like Donald Trump with a Tupi (Sp)
- Buttons are my favorite things to push, and anywhere I can find them I will push them
- I finally decided to smile in one of the chair pictures my mom makes me take every month, I figure I am almost done and I am tired of her going crazy trying to get me to smile!
- I love my mommy and daddy so much, I have even started to give them big hugs and cuddle for about 5 seconds with them, but that is more than the past so they better be grateful
- I can't wait to start my own blog one day, I have a lot to say, I just wish people would listen to me, I babble at them all day long and they just stare at my face and go" oh your so cute" blah blah blah.. I want more food people

Till next month my friends.. Love, Easton

Hunger Games..

Monday was a pretty fun day! Drake and I headed to LA for a  24 hour trip. Oh yea, Easton came too! :) What was in LA you ask.. well Drake's brother invited us to the World Premier of the Hunger Games, along with this rest of the Drake family. For those that know the Drake family, that meant they had to block off a whole section for us, not just a row! :) kidding, kinda!

We got to get dressed up, and people watch like crazy. I was content just spotting stars and getting all excited by myself. However, Drake needed a little bit more, so as usual he talks his way all the way to the red carpet ( it was actually black carpet, but you get the idea). So the next thing I knew, Drake, Jenny, Brad and I are all standing on the red carpet. It was so neat to see how things really look based on what we see from TV. Loved seeing the stars, and the Reporters interview in their stations.

After that, we went into the see the movie, and it was wonderful! I loved it, and if you have not read the book you should get out and read it before the Movie comes out March 23rd.

After the movie, we got to go to an after party. Thank goodness, it had tons of food, because Drake and I were about to have our own "Hunger Games", we were so hungry. The tent where the party was held, was unbelievable in the decor. I was impressed. We got to hang out with the Drakes and once again stock stars.

In the end, it was a pretty special night and we are so thankful to Joe and Maggie ( Drake's brother and his wife) for making it all possible. We are pretty blessed to get the opportunity to experience the event.

There are the pictures I got, they are not great, but they didn't allow cameras and phones in. So this is what I could snap! :)

Barrel Tasting for the weekend..

This weekend we headed up to Sonoma for barrel tasting weekend. One of my friends from Dallas, Kathryn and her fiancee Ryan came in town to join us as well, so it was such a treat to get to spend the weekend with them. They had some friends also meet us, and the 6 of us had a wonderful weekend.

For barrel tasting weekend, you can pre buy a wrist band and the band gets you into all the participating wineries (  there were 130). So it is nice not to have to pay at each winery to taste. We got to taste futures and stuff straight out of the barrel. We hit 11 wineries and enjoy all the beautiful "topography". ( Word of the weekend)

We had some nice dinners and way to much wine. I am not sure I want wine for a while, but we bought just a few bottles so we can enjoy them later. We even got the wine maker to sign one of our bottles.

It was perfect weather and pretty much a perfect little weekend. Here are some pictures..

Wow...

Warning: If you do not want to be naustated by how wonderful my husband is, then you should stop reading now! :)

Today was my birthday, and I have never made a huge deal out of my birthday. I did think that this was going to be a good birthday only becuase I got to celebrate with my parents who are in town. As we are starting to get older, there are less and less birthday's that you get to spend with your parents, so this was really all I needed. I had made plans with my mom to go walk around Los Gatos and get some lunch and I was pretty much a happy camper!

However, Drake had his own plans. He gave me a card in the morning, and then proceeds to say, well your gift you will get later.. so in my head I am thinking yea he has to go pick something up still, I get it.. blah blah blah.. However, he 100% surprised me and told me that I needed to be dressed and ready to go by noon. At noon, I would also need to have instructions for a baby sitter for the rest of the day. WHAT IN THE WORLD I am thinking.. he also said I should have eaten by noon too....

So my Mom, Easton and I walk to a little resturant close by and eat some lunch together.. below you can see my cute little lunch date!

Then we came home and a baby sitter showed up at the house, and when I walked outside there was a car waiting to pick us up. Yep, Drake got a car service to take us up to the city. What we were doing in the city, I was still unsure....

The driver pulls up at Bloomingdales and says this is your destation. So we go in, and I have directions to go to the concierge desk. I find that, and then I am lead to a lovely lady named Amanda, who is my OWN PERSONAL SHOPPER FOR THE DAY!!!!!!!!!!!! Amanda had picked out at least 50 outfits, tops, shirts, necklaces, shoes, purses, you name it.. and it was all put together in a dressing room for me, where I could just try on till my heart was content. So that is what I did for the next 2 hours.. did I mention they I got to sip champane and eat choclate while doing this too.. it was absloutly wonderful .

While I was shopping too, Drake surprised me and drove up to the city to surprise me and check on me. It was really sweet! I was glad that he got to be there, becuase he planned it all so it was fun to get to share it with him. It was also so special to get to do all this with my mom. It was all perfection.

At the end, I could pick whatever I wanted and it was all bagged up for me and I was out the door. Let's just say that my closet has a whole new look, and I will be one of the best dressed mom's at the park! :)

Today was the best birthday I have ever had, and I am not sure I have ever been as surprised as I was. I had no idea or even a clue he was up to something. I was pretty much speechless, and I actually am not sure that has ever happend to me before. The toughtfulness that Drake put into the day, to make sure it was all organized, lined up, and all detials were taken care of is truely the biggest part of the gift. The clothes are great, but the idea that came from Drake's heart is really what had me smiling from ear to ear and beaming today.

Our car service

A little wine before our shopping trip

Some of the stuff set up.

My surprise during my shopping spree

Thank you Michael Drake for a wonderful day, I love you very much, and I promise you have redemmed yourself from all bad gift giving talk, so I promise to never speak of it again! :)

At this rate, I can't wait to see what next birthday brings... Kidding! :) I think he is good for another 5 years!

Weekend and Half Moon Bay...

This past weekend my parents were in town. It is always nice to see my parents, and even nicer to have some extra hands for Easton. My parents just adore Easton, so it is always so funny to see my dad on the floor in Easton's room with him, playing. You would think he has never seen a baby! :)

We took Easton to play at The Jungle ( where he loves the ball pit) and tired him out Saturday morning. We then let him nap as we drove to Half Moon Bay for the day and enjoyed a nice little day. It was so pretty and relaxing. The weather this past weekend was wonderful, it makes me so happy! We enjoyed the day and then headed back home later that night. On the way home, we were practicing "mama" with E and every time he followed up with "dada"!! I think he thinks, I am dada! :)

Here are some pictures from the weekend:

Pop and Easton watching their morning cartoons! :)

Ritz at Half moon bay!

Our little family of 3!

Grandma Maggie and Easton!!

I just love this picture of my boys! Drake was making Easton watch the golfers golf, and as you can see Easton was more interested in the hair on Drake's head! :)

Random thoughts..

Drake and I have been pretty busy lately, and even though he has been home more, it seems that I have been gone more. So we chit chat in passing, but really all my random thoughts and don't forget to tell drake thoughts never get said, because I forget when I actually see him.. so I decided I needed to get them out somewhere so my mind can stop saying, oh you forgot again.. :)

1) I would like for someone to tell the people down the street that it is now March and that it is NOT ok that they still have their Christmas lights up, and not only are they up, but they turn them on each night. NOT OK! :)

2) Who names their kid Phillip Phillips, this has been bugging me since I saw the poor kids name on American idol!

3) Easton could you please stop playing with Chloe's water bowl, it not only makes a mess, but you then need a change of clothes!

4) Rude people at the airport, please do not cut in front of my for the "family boarding time" just because I am not standing on top of the flight attendant waiting to board. So annoying!!

5) I now have a new favorite workout, Hot Pilate's.. never would have thought I liked it..

6) CostCo you are my new best friend, I love that you allow me to go to the grocery store less often!

7) Target RedCard you are also my new best friend, however I have ordered way to much online.. I am pretty sure that the UPS guy knows me by name now!!

8) I love the spring weather that keeps trying to sneak it's way out of winter.. Ready for shorts, sandals, and snow cones!! :)

9) Revenge is my new obsession, however I hate that networks take breaks, a new episode is not airing till April.. this is not ok with me.

10) I don't really have a 10th one, it just sounded like a good number to stop at.. Happy Friday to everyone and hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I know you really only check the blog for the pictures, so here you go! :)
