Sorta felt like a Vacation...

So the past 4 days Easton and I were lucky enough to have Drake home. We loved every minute of it, and for me it felt like a mini vacation, and now that I am typing this I feel like I should call it my staycation, I think that is what people call vacations where they stay in town. :)

With us expecting a baby in less than two weeks, or any day now ( my wishful hoping), we could not really go to far for the 4th. So it was so nice to have Drake home to go and do a bunch of fun stuff with us, and he totally took the load of work off of me!

So we started with the 4th of July! This is one of my favorite holidays, simply because I love fireworks. So during the day we hit up a local waterpark, which we had never done before. Turns out Easton is a HUGE fan. He did not want to leave after 3 hours of going up and down slides. Drake and I were ready for naps, but Easton not so much.

I think both boys had fun! ;) After the waterpark we went home for a little family BBQ and then headed out for fireworks. I knew they were going to be tough considering that most shows didn't start till 9-9:30, and Easton goes to be at 8. So I thought about it and SELFISHLY I decided we were still going to see the "Firetrucks" as Easton kept calling them! He got confused by the word and never changed the truck part to works. lol. So anyways as we arrive at the show you could see other shows going off randomly, and we got the following comments out of Easton. "Wow", "This fun" and "Oh boy". Where does the kid get this stuff? Oh boy??

So this was before the show actually started.. Easton all ready and looking at every pop he heard..

Then when the show started.. this is what I saw when I looked over..
Yep, he was fast asleep and slept through the whole show! Never once woke up! lol! For the record, I have never seen my child fall asleep in a public place like this, it was so funny! When he got woken up as we picked him up to go back to the car after the show, he FIRMLY told Drake, " I sleeping". We couldn't help but laugh, and just so everyone knows, I LOVED the show! :)

Then on Saturday we headed to the city to a park where we had heard there were great views. What we were surprised to find, was how cool the park was! It was very neat! The weather was amazing, and we had a great little Saturday..

Then Sunday we ended our fun 4 days with a trip to the beach! We figure it was our last trip as a little family of 3, aka 4 with Chloe too! ;) Soon there will be a 4th and not sure how soon we will be back to the beach with a newborn around!

All in all, we felt like we were on a vacation the last 4 days and now we are ready to wait out the next 14 days of waiting on this new little bundle of joy! ( We say 14, because we are not even going to entertain the idea of going past the due date!) Come little baby, we want to know if you are a boy or a girl, and I want to know what your name is going to be.. ahh still can't decide! :)

Hope everyone had a great holiday weekend!
